SEIS PIEZAS BREVES

For Flute in C, Saxophone alto, Piano, Volin and Cello
Duration ca. 4 minutes
2020

Across its six short movements, the work alternates between different degrees of formal complexity. Some movements unfold through a more intricate internal structure, while others are shaped by fewer sections and a greater sense of stability.

This shifting balance helps clarify how each movement relates to the others. Complexity gains force through its contrast with simplicity, just as moments of stability become more vivid beside passages of greater activity. In this way, the work’s brief span becomes a landscape of continual change and renewal, where each movement reshapes our experience of the whole.
